It’s designed for first-time readers and long-time exhibitors: clean, explainable, and proof-forward.
How CFA Results Work
Quick map from event → judge rings → finals → titles.
Show
One weekend event (1–2 days). Phoenix is entered in his class and competes across multiple judges.
Rings
Each ring = one judge’s independent evaluation. More rings = more chances to place and earn finals.
Finals
The judge selects top cats in that ring (Best, 2nd Best, etc.). These are the “big wins.”
Titles
Titles are earned over time by accumulating qualifying finals across shows and meeting CFA requirements.
Tip: Finals are auto-highlighted in the feed when they exist.
Show Records
“No Phoenix results yet” means the show exists in the CRM, but Phoenix ring entries/finals aren’t logged for that event yet.
Finals are automatically highlighted in the feed when present.

FAQ
What is CFA, and what is a CFA cat show?
CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Association) is a major pedigreed cat registry. A CFA cat show is a structured event where licensed judges evaluate cats against published breed standards.
A show typically runs 1–2 days and includes multiple judge rings.

What is a “Ring”?
A ring is one judge’s complete, independent evaluation. The same cat is judged multiple times across different rings by different judges.
This is why a cat can place in one ring and not place in another—each judge is independent.

What are “Finals” and why do they matter?
Finals are the judge’s top selections for that ring (Best, 2nd Best, etc.). Finals are the standout results people care about most because they represent top placement within that ring.
These are also what generally accumulate toward titles over time.

What do “Color / Division / Breed” mean?
These are layers of classification. Breed is the breed standard (Birman). Division groups sets of colors/patterns within the breed. Color is the specific color/pattern variant.
Some awards are called within these layers before broader finals.

Why do exhibitors show cats?
Exhibitors show cats for third-party evaluation, to earn titles, and to validate a breeding program by demonstrating that the cat meets (or exceeds) the official standard.
